General Conference

"It is the office of a true teacher to show us that God is, not was; that He speaketh, not spake. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)"

God has given us, throughout all Biblical and Book of Mormon history, two channels by which we receive revelation, or communication from Him.  The first is the personal channel, or what we call prayer.

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. (Matthew 21:22)"

Another means by which we receive communication from God is through His servants, holy men we call prophets.

God speaks to His prophets, and they in turn speak to us.  Because the prophets not only spoke their testimonies of the Savior but wrote them also, we have scriptures, such as the Old and New Testaments along with the Book of Mormon.

This weekend we have the blessed opportunity to hear the words of modern day prophets and apostles.  We are blessed to hear the word of the Lord directed to His children in 2011.

Come hand hear the word of the Lord this weekend!  It can be viewed on tv on BYUtv, online at http://lds.org/general-conference/watch?lang=eng, you can listen to it online at http://lds.org/general-conference/live/listen?lang=eng, or view online at any LDS Chapel Saturday and Sunday from 11am-1pm and 3-5pm (Central Standard Time).  Click here to find the closest Chapel to you.

"Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7)"
